Hey, my kinky, polyam peeps! Sorry for the delay in my posting lately. The new job has been crazy. I put in back to back eleven and a half hour days this week, and since it pays my bills, I kind of have to give it preference when it comes to my time.
Anyway, we’ve got to AMAZING artivles this week, so let’s get right to it!
First, from NPR comes a TedTalk with Diana Adams, founder of the Chosen Family Law Institute. The purpose of her organization is to “provide legal support for LGBTQIA, polyamorous, and other underserved families”. As both a polyamorous person as well as someone trained in financial planning, this article really resonates me. So much of our legal and tax code is written to favor not just monogamy, but marriage, as well as biological ties. What if instead of focusing on your biological family and/or your spouse, we redifined “family” in the eyes of the law to “Those whom you chose and whom you care the most about”?
“When we embrace the idea of Chosen Family, our own free will is more important than biological connections. We can choose to create meaningful relationships with the people who provide us with the meaningful support that we deserve.”
Second, from Fatherly.com comes a discussion about “Daddy kinks”. I will say, as a Brat, nothing gets under the Dommes skin faster than when I call them “Mommy”, and some people enjoy this type of parental kink play. Not my cup of tea, and to each their own.
“Some cling to the idea that most ‘Daddy’ adorers are harboring some sort of ‘Daddy issues’ and the daddy ‘kink’ allows the individual to work through any unresolved feelings within the borders of a safe, sexual playground. Others assert that the sexual interest has nothing to do with underlying issues involving actual ‘Daddies’ and that the fetish is just another form of sexual exploration. Of course, there may very well be some sort of middle ground to stand on here.”
That’s it for this week, so until next time, you naughty little ones…
Stay kinky, my friends…
